Great service and atmosphere! Walking distance to the beach. Plenty of food for the price. Only thing I'd say is the food is cooked generic, without seasoning. If that was an option, I would have rated them a 5.

Food was good and service was better! The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star is one thing. It's kind of awkward eating at an establishment where none of the people working have facial hair. I mean not one person with a beard? Kind of weird if you ask me.

Had the beef brisket sandwich and asked for the ends. The sandwich comes on a Texas toast style bread which was good. The meat portion was sizable and the brisket was delicious. HOWEVER, there was a large amount of fat in this sizable portion. I generally enjoy eating the fat, but it was too much, and since I asked for chopped it was too much to pull out and set aside. Same for my friend who had a brisket plate... lots of fat chunks. Fries were OK, nothing to rave about. Enjoyed the numerous sauces and all were good. If the there hadn't been so much fat I would give this a joint a four. Was a little pricey... $12 for a sandwich, fries and coke. Not sure how businesses will survive raising prices as the economy declines. I know their prices and taxes are going up. Damned if you do damned if you don't. It's probably why they were serving so much fat. There is an out of business fast food joint next door... looks like a Sonic... you know it's bad when Sonics are closing. Hope this place makes it... they are better then Sonny's for sure. No military discount... it's one of the few places in town that doesn't do that.

Classic north Florida BBQ. Busting with flavor and oh so tender. That pit smoked chicken and brisket is soooooo good. This is not Texas style BarBQue (more greasy with sweeter sauces) and its not trying to be. This is classic North Florida style and I make a trip to Bono's whenever I am in town. The meats are juicy and flavorful enough to eat on their own, but I usually mix in some Original Bono's BBQ sauce (mustard based) as well. BBQ Perfection! Is this review helpful or not? Let me know.
